ORE MICROSCOPE

Model No: RS-17

The Ore Microscope (Model RS-17) is a specialized, high-performance petrographic instrument engineered specifically for the detailed analysis of opaque and semi-opaque mineral specimens, metallic ores, and geological sections. Combining both reflected (incident) and transmitted lighting modes, it allows researchers to study surface reflectance, micro-textures, and crystallographic properties with maximum clarity.

Key Features

  • Dual Illumination System: Features independent incident (reflected) light for opaque ores and sub-stage transmitted illumination for transparent mineral sections.

  • Precision Polarizing Optics: Outfitted with a 360° rotatable graduated stage (with vernier calibration), strain-free achromatic objectives, and a graduated in-out polarizer system.

  • Bertrand Lens & Analyzer: Integrated Bertrand lens and sliding analyzer with wave compensators (1/2λ and 1/4λ) for advanced optical mineralogy.

  • Sturdy Mechanical Focus: Features smooth coaxial or rack-and-pinion coarse and fine focusing controls for precise, drift-free adjustments.

  • Modular Versatility: Designed to accommodate high-intensity halogen or LED light sources with solid-state intensity control for stable, true-color image observation.
